Teaching The Bible Powerfully With A Bible Bible Timeline Poster

Alas, a large number of Pastors and Bible teachers in our churches continue to preach flimsy, light weight, superficial, shallow sermons and their Church members hardly grow in biblical knowledge and understanding. Preachers love to give us'moral essays' and'warming affirmations' because supposedly, if we truly love our people this is what we will do. Unfortunate it seems, if God's people are falling through the cracks'for a lack of knowledge' as long as we're nice and loving to all. In truth, the more like the world, the less relevant we're to the world.

Why is it that we get stuck in a rut of our favorite themes and feel good discourses?
We teach on a text from 2 Peter and a story about Peter and a theme from the book of Nehemiah and then the obedience of Matthew or the perseverance of Noah - pieces from here and everyplace, but we do not put it all together in a clear understandable, simple to remember, perspective with a capable Bible TimeLine including Church History as well. Constantly we're bombarded with new books, modernist ideas, some of them dangerously edging toward Liberal thinking, when if we were to be coached the basic principles of Church history, we then would not be so bound to repeat it.
Let's us as instructors and preachers stitch together the aspects of God's Word and His plan into a logical whole that our people can draw on for the rest of life, to help them to understand God, His Eternal Plan, the function of the Church and how to better translate the Bible to order our lives by.
It is not difficult to do, and it's not boring if we're ready to put in a bit of effort prayer and fervor, and just maybe you can use a Bible Timeline too.
