A Biblical Bible Timeline Poster Gives A Graphical Approach To Convey Biblical Events And Characters And Facts

In our weekly Bible study some years ago, a lady who had been a Christian and been involved in the local Church for years, made this statement,"Yes, but Abraham had the Law and so he understood about......" (they were not referring to the pre-Moses law) I wonder how many Christians would actually pick up the inaccuracy in this claim. Moses came about about five hundred years after Abraham and so it is not possible. I have since made up a Biblical chronological chart and explained in a more graphic way the time period of individuals and events.

Years ago, I was teaching on the life, resurrection, burial and death of Christ Jesus, and a retired pastor and powerful preacher of the Gospel, who had been in the ministry for 40 years, came to me and reproved me vigorously over some fascinating points I made and he mentioned 1Ti 1:4'Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.' I humbly asked him if I was teaching anything of a heretical nature at all, to which he answered"No". I continued to describe that in the case of that particular verse, it was not referring to exploring Scripture but to the false teachings and school of thought of Gnosticism, but he wouldn't have it. So, how can a 40 year minister & worker in the Gospel, not know and understand about a thing that probably 1/2 the books of the New Testament relate to?
How could he study and preach the Bible clearly without being familiar with a thing that was so influential in the New Testament church? And then how can the congregation hope to understand these things and be in a position to interpret their Bible well, if they're not told?
Let's us as tutors and preachers stitch together the aspects of the Bible and God's plan into a logical whole that our people can draw on for the remainder of life, helping them to understand God, His Eternal Plan, the function of the Church and how to better translate the Bible to model our lives by.
It is not hard to do, and it's not boring if we're ready to put in a bit of effort prayer and fervor, and just maybe you can utilize a Bible Timeline also.
