A Biblical Bible Timeline Poster Presents A Graphical Approach To Help Teach Biblical Events And Characters And Truths

Alas, a many Pastors and teachers in our churches continue to preach shallow, superficial, flimsy, light weight sermons and their Church members hardly grow in biblical knowledge and understanding. Preachers love to give us'moral essays' and'warming affirmations' because supposedly, if we really love people this is what we'll do. Too bad it seems, if God's men and women are falling through the cracks'for a lack of knowledge' so long as we're positive and loving to all. In reality, the more relevant we become to the world, the less relevant we're to the world.
Years ago, I was teaching on the life, burial, death and resurrection of Jesus, and a retired pastor and strong preacher of the Gospel, who had been in the ministry for 40 years, marched up and reproved me vigorously over some interesting points I made and he stated 1Ti 1:4'Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.' I humbly asked him if I had been teaching anything of a heretical nature at all, to which he replied"No". I continued to explain that in the case of that particular verse, it was not speaking to exploring the Bible but to the false teachings and philosophy of Gnosticism, but he wouldn't have it. So, how can a 40 year preacher & worker in the Gospel, not understand and know about something that probably 1/2 the books of the New Testament discuss?
How could he understand and teach the Bible in fullness without being aware of something that was so influential in the New Testament church? And then how can the congregation hope to figure out these things and be able to understand their Bible effectively, if they're not informed?
Let's us as instructors and preachers sew together the aspects of the Bible and His plan into a seamless tapestry that our people can draw on for the remainder of their lives, to help them to figure out God, His Eternal Plan, the function of the Church and ways to better interpret the Bible to live by.
It is not difficult to do, and it is not boring if we're prepared to put in a bit of study with prayer and fervor, and just maybe you can employ a Bible Timeline too.
